¼tspBlack Pepper Powder
¼tspSaltOr to taste
½tspOregano Seasoning
½tspChilli Flakes
4Slicesof BreadWhole wheat, Multigrain, or Sourdough
Ghee or ButterFor toasting
Instructions
Start with a ripe avocado. To check for ripeness, gently press the skin; it should feel soft but not mushy. Cut the avocado in half, remove the pit (seed), and scoop the creamy pulp into a bowl.
Using a fork, mash the pulp. You can keep it slightly chunky for texture or mash it until smooth and creamy.
Pro Tip: Immediately mix in 1 tsp of lime juice. This acts as a natural antioxidant, keeping your avocado vibrant green and preventing it from turning brown.
Add the finely chopped green chillies, fresh coriander, onions, and tomatoes (ensure seeds are removed to avoid a watery spread). Season with salt, pepper powder, oregano, and chilli flakes. Mix thoroughly to create a flavorful avocado mash.
Heat a non-stick pan over medium-low heat and lightly grease it with ghee or butter. Place your bread slices on the pan: Toast until the bottom is golden and crispy, Flip and repeat on the other side. Note: Using medium-low heat ensures the bread is evenly crisp without burning.
Take the crispy toasted bread and spread a generous layer of the avocado mixture evenly across the surface. Sprinkle a few more chilli flakes and fresh coriander on top for that professional look.
