Cabbage Sabzi Recipe | Aloo Patta Gobhi Sabji Recipe

Ingredients

  • 350 grams Cabbage / Patta Gobhi (Chopped and rinsed)
  • 3 tbsp Mustard Oil
  • 2 medium Onion (sliced)
  • ¼ tsp Asafoetida / Heeng
  • ½ tsp Rai / Mustard Seeds
  • ½ tsp Cumin Seeds / Jeera
  • 2 Green Chilli (slit)
  • 2 tsp Ginger (finely chopped)
  • 2 medium Potato (diced)
  • 1 medium Tomato (diced)
  • ¾ cup Green Peas
  • 1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
  • ½ tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • Coriander Powder
  • ½ tsp Amchur Powder
  • ½ tsp Garam Masala
  • Coriander (chopped - handful)

Instructions

  • Heat mustard oil until it smokes, then lower the flame.
  • Add heeng, mustard seeds, and cumin seeds. Let them splutter.
  • Further, add sliced onions, green chilies, and ginger. Sauté until golden.
  • After that, add chopped potatoes and salt. Cook for 3–4 minutes.
  • Now, add cabbage, tomatoes, and green peas. Mix well, cover, and cook on medium flame for 3–4 minutes.
  • Add red chili powder, turmeric, and coriander powder. Mix well.
  • Cover and cook on low flame for 10–12 minutes until veggies are soft, stirring occasionally.
  • Add amchur powder and garam masala to the aloo patta gobhi sabji. Mix and cook for 1 minute on high flame.
  • Finally, add chopped coriander and mix well.
  • Serve hot Cabbage Sabzi with roti or paratha.
