Ingredients

Dry Ingredients:

  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour / Maida
  • ½ cup Cocoa Powder
  • ½ cup Horlicks Powder
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • ½ tsp Baking Soda
  • ¼ tsp Salt

Wet Ingredients:

  • ½ cup Unsalted Butter (softened)
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1 cup Milk

Optional Add-ons:

  • ¼ cup Chocolate Chips or Chunks (for extra chocolatey flavor)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to the right temperature. Grease a cake pan or line it with parchment paper.
  • Sift flour, cocoa powder, Horlicks, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Whisk well to combine.
  • Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy using a whisk or electric beater.
  • Mix in eggs one at a time, beating well. Add vanilla extract for extra flavor.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients, alternating with milk. Fold gently to form a smooth batter.
