Ingredients

  • 2 cups Puffed Cholai / Rajgira / Amaranth
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • ½ cup Water

Instructions

  • Add 1 cup sugar and ½ cup water to a heavy-bottomed pan and cook until the sugar dissolves.
  • Continue cooking until the sugar syrup becomes thick and sticky.
  • Switch off the heat and add 2 cups puffed cholai (rajgira).
  • Mix quickly until the sugar syrup evenly coats the puffed cholai.
  • Let the mixture cool slightly until it is warm enough to handle.
  • Lightly touch your hands with water and take a small portion of the mixture.
  • Gently press and roll it between your palms to make a round laddu. Repeat with the remaining mixture.
  • Place the Cholai Laddus on a plate and let them cool completely before serving.
