How to make Dal Farra Recipe:
Prepare the Dough: In a bowl, mix wheat flour, salt, and oil. Gradually add water and knead into a soft dough. Cover and let it rest for 15 minutes.
Prepare the Stuffing: Drain the soaked Chana Dal and coarsely grind it. Mix it with green chilies, ginger, coriander, salt, asafoetida, red chili powder, turmeric, coriander powder, and amchur powder.
Shape the Fara: Divide the dough into small balls. Roll each ball into a small circle, place 1-2 tsp of stuffing in the center, and fold into a semi-circle. Seal the edges firmly.
Boil the Fara: Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add the prepared Fara one by one. Cook for 10-15 minutes until they float to the surface. Remove and drain.
Fry the Fara: Heat oil in a pan, add asafoetida, mustard seeds, and red chili powder. Add boiled Fara and stir-fry until golden and crispy. Garnish with fresh coriander.
