This instant aloo kulcha sandwich recipe can be made for breakfast or a teatime snack. These potato kulcha sandwiches also go well in the lunch box for kids.
Use any kulcha bread which you like or prefer for making these stuffed kulchas. These kulcha bread sandwiches can also be made in a sandwich toaster or a grill.
You can also use boiled green peas in this recipe. They are best served with green coriander chutney or tomato ketchup.
When I boil potatoes, I boil some extra potatoes. You never know where they will come in handy. I keep them in the fridge and use them in a day or two.

Ingredients
Ingredients for Quick Potato Kulcha Sandwich Recipe:
- 4 slices Kulcha Bread
- 3 medium Boiled Potatoes
- ½ tsp Roasted Cumin Seeds
- 1 tsp Green Chili (finely chopped)
- 1 tsp Coriander Powder
- ¼ tsp Red Chili Powder
- ½ tsp Garam Masala
- ½ tsp Mango Powder / Amchur Powder amchur – 1 tsp
- ½ tsp Salt (adjust as per taste)
- 2 tbsp Fresh Coriander Leaves (finely chopped)
- ½ cup Butter / Ghee (for roasting)
- 2 tbsp Tomato Ketchup
Instructions
- Firstly, pressure cook potatoes for 3-4 whistles. Wait till it cools.
- Once cool, peel off the skin, and mashed them well with a potato masher or with a back of a ladle.
- Further, take a bowl and add mashed potatoes with all the spices: roasted cumin seeds, coriander powder, red chili powder, mango powder, salt, and garam masala.
- Additionally, add finely chopped green chili and fresh coriander leaves (cilantro).
- After that, mix all the ingredients very well.
- Now take a slice of kulcha and spread some tomato ketchup.
- Further, spread some aloo masala/potato masala on the kulcha.
- After that, cover it with other plain kulcha.
- Heat a pan/tawa and grease some butter/ghee on the tawa.
- Further, place the potato stuffed kulcha on the heated pan.
- Grease the butter/ghee on the other side now.
- Further, press down gently with a spatula and grill the kulcha sandwich until both sides are crispy and golden brown.
- Finally, cut the aloo stuffed kulcha sandwich and serve it hot with green chutney or tomato ketchup.
Step by Step Recipe
How to make Potato kulcha sandwich | Aloo stuffed Kulcha Sandwich Recipe with step by step photos:
1. Firstly, pressure cook potatoes for 3-4 whistles. Wait till it cools.
2. Once cool, peel off the skin, and mashed them well with a potato masher or with a back of a ladle.
3. Further, take a bowl and add mashed potatoes with all the spices: roasted cumin seeds, coriander powder, red chili powder, mango powder, salt, and garam masala.
4. Additionally, add finely chopped green chili and fresh coriander leaves (cilantro).
5. After that, mix all the ingredients very well.
6. Now take a slice of kulcha and spread some tomato ketchup.
7. Further, spread some aloo masala/potato masala on the kulcha.
8. After that, cover it with other plain kulcha.
9. Heat a pan/tawa and grease some butter/ghee on the tawa.
10. Further, place the potato stuffed kulcha on the heated pan.
11. Grease the butter/ghee on the other side now.
12. Further, press down gently with a spatula and grill the kulcha sandwich until both sides are crispy and golden brown.
13. Finally, cut the aloo stuffed kulcha sandwich and serve it hot with green chutney or tomato ketchup.
