Ingredients
Ingredients for bread fritters recipe:
- 4 Bread Slice
- 1 cup Gram Flour / Besan (You can use coarse besan for crunch)
- ½ tsp Red Chili Powder
- ¼ tsp Turmeric Powder
- 1 pinch Asafoetida (Hing)
- ½ tsp Salt (Adjust as per taste)
- Water (as needed)
- 3 cups Oil (For frying the fritters)
Instructions
- Firstly, take gram flour/besan in any bowl.
- Further, add salt, turmeric powder, asafoetida, and red chili powder.
- Additionally, add water little by little and prepare a batter.
- Make sure the gram flour batter is not too drippy or too dense.
- Further, heat oil in a Kadai/wok. The oil for frying bread pakoras should be aptly heated and keep the flame medium.
- After that, cut the bread slices into four pieces, giving it a square shape.
- Likewise, prepare all bread slices.
- Further, drop a pinch of batter to check the temperature of the oil.
- Dip the bread slices in the batter and put them into the hot oil for frying.
- After that, fry it for a few seconds then gently flip it to fry the other side.
- Fry it till it turns golden brown from both sides on medium heat.
- Take out the bread fritters on the kitchen towel to absorb extra oil.
- Similarly, prepare all bread pakoras.
- Finally, hot and delicious bread fritters or bread bhajis are ready to be served.
- Serve hot bread fritters or fried bread pakora with tomato ketchup and green chutney.
